Summary/Abstract: The article presents some archaeological contexts and artefacts discovered in Northern Dobrudja, at Nufăru, in the most northern part of a rocky cape on the right side of the Danube Saint George branch. After the abandonment of the Middle Byzantine fortress and settlement, caused by the Mongol invasion between 1241 and 1242, the archaeological evidence (dwellings, pottery and coins) contributes to a clearer image of the Golden Horde presence, control and influence in the area of the Danube Delta, in the second half of the 13th century and the first half of the 14th century.
