Summary/Abstract: Intergenerational solidarity is essential for sustainable communities and social cohesion, particularly in times of crisis. This paper explores how relationships between generations can be strengthened through Gestalt psychotherapy, the application of global philosophies such as Ubuntu and Buen Vivir, and practical initiatives from different parts of the world. Through case studies from Bosnia and Herzegovina, the paper highlights the challenges and benefits of intergenerational programs, including the use of Gestalt techniques in overcoming misunderstandings between generations. A comparative analysis of practices in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Japan, Germany, and Indigenous communities in Canada provides recommendations for developing long-term initiatives in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Critical reflection indicates that successful implementation requires the integration of safe spaces for dialogue, structural support, and policies that foster intergenerational connectedness.
