Summary/Abstract: Judging from lab results, the attribution of origin of the lineage of transport amphoras of “Milesian” type clearly points to the supremacy of Miletus in comparison with Samos and seems not at all restricted to the alternative between Samos and Miletus, several more or less distant secondary imitating centres have also been recorded.
