Summary/Abstract: An analysis based on the archives of the National Museum and the legacy of Vejsil Ćurčić has already shown that this Bosnian-Herzegovinian archaeologist is a pioneer n the conservation and restoration of various historical buildings in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as his wide range of interests, from ethnology, zoology and botany, to archaeology itself. It remains unknown to this day whether he still managed to find time to deal with the issue of studying Sarajevo mosques, and based on his manuscripts, it can be established that he was preparing a text for publication on this very topic, along with photographs of mosques that he would have personally taken. Although the focus of the manuscript was the Gazi Husrev-beg Mosque, the list of mosques that he planned to photograph speaks volumes about how seriously he wanted to devote himself to this issue. Although the reasons why he did not finish writing the article on Sarajevo mosques are unknown to us, the discovery of these manuscripts nevertheless sheds new light on the breadth of Vejsil Ćurčić’s scientific work.
