Prosopis Juliflora has become the most invasive plant in the Ethiopia. Although the social, economic and environmental impacts of Prosopis in Afar Regional State has become threatening, both the federal and regional state governments were late to start the practice of controlling and managing its spread in the region. Data for this study were collected through qualitative methods like informant interviews, observation, focus group discussions and document analysis. Ninety six participants were interviewed and eight focus group discussions were conducted. The qualitative dataset was thematically analyzed through deductive identification of themes.
