Summary/Abstract: Selected chapters of the book present four subjects: de-creation, Christus patiens, justice and love, compassion. “De-creation,” concept adopted by Weil from Peguy, expresses inevitable disposition of one’s permanently repeated consent to God and annihilation of the self which enables the person for the unity with God and thus to allow his manifestations – attitudes lived in a perfect way by saint Francis. “Christus patiens” is an expression of a centrality of the Cross of Christ for the faith, in a thought and life of Weil as in saint Francis. “Justice and love” represent importance of attitude of attention in a thought of Weil – attitude which operates extasis from the self of the person, shaking off the power, and turns the person with obviosity of a common state of necessity toward the other. And “compassion” is being born as inevitable implication of this humble vision of another person which, in the life of saint Francis, was lived and experienced in a paradigmatic way in his relationships with the leprous.
