Summary/Abstract: A few minutes ago, I arrived home from Rome, where I took part in the funeral of Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI. In my circular letter concerning the death of the emeritus pope, I wrote down my thoughts about him. I consider him a pope who pointed upward yet led toward the depths—a teacher whose message invites us to rediscover the beauty of faith.
