Summary/Abstract: Petar G. Mikić was a well-known pediatrician from Novi Sad, a long-time member of the Patriarchal Council of the Serbian Orthodox Church and the Diocesan Council of the Diocese of Bačka. He was engaged in scientific research in the field of the history of medicine in our region. He was a member of the Serbian Medical Society, the Association of Doctors of Vojvodina, the Patronage of the Cooperative of Serb Entrepreneurs, and the Board of Directors of Matica Srpska. Doctor Mikić is the son of the distinguished priest Grigorije Mikić, a catechist at the Karlovci Grammar School and a church writer. He was buried at the Čerat cemetery in Sremski Karlovci.
