Summary/Abstract: Our contribution offers views from Ireland, from the viewpoint of diplomatic documents in a file from the National Archives of Ireland, DFA/2020/22/33, on Romanian politics and society in the aftermath of the 1989 Revolution. The difficult process of organizing free elections and the plight of the 1990s orphanages in Romania are especially highlighted in these documents consulted in Dublin, in June 2022.
