Summary/Abstract: The present study seeks to examine how Augmented Reality (AR) technologies are utilized in mathematics education, identify trends, and describe the prospects for its future use. A bibliometric analysis, assisted by Rstudio software, was used to evaluate 1350 documents related to ‘Augmented Reality Technology and Mathematics Education’ published since 2007. The research findings suggest a significant spike in publications since 2017, demonstrating how Augmented Reality (AR) has become a productive tool for fostering an interactive and immersive learning environment. Future research may explore the integration of AR with smart technologies such as Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. The integration of AR with AI and Machine Learning (ML) presents vast potential for creating personalized and adaptive learning experiences. By utilizing data from student interactions with AR environments, AI could suggest learning materials tailored to individual needs in real-time, thus enhancing the overall learning experience.
