Summary/Abstract: Indonesia's development of Ibu Kota Nusantara (IKN) as a smart city prioritizes sustainability through advanced technology and infrastructure. A vital element of this vision is the creation of smart schools, which aim to build an innovative and interconnected society. These schools utilize digital platforms, data-driven approaches, and collaborative technologies to provide personalized, engaging, and flexible learning experiences, preparing students for a tech-driven future. This position paper explores the role of smart schools within IKN's smart city framework, focusing on how education can align with urban infrastructure to promote continuous learning. The research method includes reviewing case studies such as Singapore's Smart Nation and Songdo's educational initiatives, highlighting the benefits and challenges of integrating education within a smart city environment. Additionally, the paper reviews relevant literature and policy documents to examine how smart schools can support IKN's economic development goals, regional equity, and environmental sustainability. The study concludes by emphasizing the importance of smart schools in fostering a digitally skilled, innovative, and adaptable generation, which is essential for achieving IKN's broader objectives of sustainable development and societal resilience.
