Summary/Abstract: The Gaydamowicz family, a Polish noble lineage, settled in Bessarabia in the 19th century. After completing his military service, Józef Gaydamowicz moved to Cinișeuți, preserving Polish traditions. He co‑founded the Benevolent Society in Chișinău, supporting Polish education and charity. After the First World War, the family adopted Polish citizenship. The Second World War forced them to flee, and some were deported to Siberia. After the war, Mieczysław and his son Tadeusz settled in Poland. Tadeusz dedicated his life to preserving the history of the Poles of Bessarabia, demonstrating that cultural heritage can endure despite shifting borders.
