Summary/Abstract: The article explores the micro-terminological system based on the root femin- and its derivatives, which constitute the metalanguage of feminist linguistics and are represented in both Ukrainian and international linguistic scholarship. The study identifies the semantic features, variant forms, usage tendencies, and the presence of synonymous and paronymous terms within this system. It has been demonstrated that the lexeme femina (‘woman’) served as the derivational base for forming the terms feminitive / feminative, which generated further derivatives such as feminine, feminization, feminative, and others. The term feminitive / feminative has a generalised meaning and underlies the formation of categories such as feminitives / feminatives and feminitivity / feminativity. The derivational base determined the formation of an identical mutational derivational meaning. Terms like feminine / feminin, femininity / feminity are used inconsistently and are inaccurate in referring to word-formation processes or concepts. The discussion of the results shows that the terminology of feminist linguistics requires unification, which is reflected in the interpretation of the term feminative / feminitive, taking into account the system of its derivatives, synonyms, and paronyms. The dominant tendency is toward the use of feminitive. The concept is interpreted narrowly as denoting the names of females that constitute a lexical subsystem of the language, whose units are marked by the grammatical category of the feminine gender, and broadly as a set of units representing all levels of the language system. The term feminitive / feminative is stylistically neutral and demonstrates high derivational productivity, but it is semantically unstandardized and invariable. Future research should focus on compiling a glossary of feminist linguistic terms.
