Summary/Abstract: Mangalia, an important city of Ottoman Dobruja, still offers many medieval archaeological materials. Among the recently discovered artifacts that we have decided to publish are Ottoman tobacco pipes, which illustrate fragments of everyday life in the Middle Ages and modern times. For this paper, we have selected 45 Ottoman pipes recently found in Mangalia during archaeological excavations. These date back to the 17th to 19th centuries. Depending on the shape of the bowl, the pipes are divided into three main types: with a round bowl (the type to which most of the specimens belong), with a disc-shaped bowl and with a bell-shaped bowl. These specimens come to complete the series of Ottoman pipes found in Mangalia and published in the Dobrogea periodicals.
