Summary/Abstract: The article examines marriages contracted in Pstrągowa between 1851 and 1914. It presents the early history of the parish, the gradual demographic changes, and the succession of parish officials. A separate section is devoted to the source material, describing its location, accessibility, and potential shortcomings. Data gathered during the analysis, such as the annual number of marriages, the marital status and age of the newlyweds, and seasonal patterns, were compared with findings from other researchers to identify broader trends. The study demonstrates that external factors influenced the annual number of marriages. In terms of marital status, Pstrągowa did not differ from other localities. In accordance with the Western family model, the age at marriage tended to be postponed. While monthly seasonality showed no significant variation, weekly seasonality did; the day of the week on which marriages were celebrated depended largely on the parish priest’s decisions and local customs.
