Summary/Abstract: Changes in the global climate, marked by meteorological events and environmental disasters, are a risk factor for cervical cancer in women. As a result of extremely rising temperatures on the planet and changes in the environment, the spread of infections, air pollutants, ultraviolet radiation, and chemicals are increasing, that alter the polymorphism of cervical cells and complicate the severity of the disease. The aim of this article is to provide an overview of the scientific literature on the impact of climate change on the risk of cervical cancer. A literature review of publications in refereed scientific journals and synthesized information related to the research topic was conducted in the Pub Med, Web of Science, Scopus, and Google Scholar databases using keyword searches. The review includes observational, experimental, prospective randomized and controlled studies. The results prove established causal interactions between climate change, environmental pollution, and the risk profile of cervical cancer.
