Summary/Abstract: On the occasion of Karl Kraus’ 150th anniversary on April 28, 2024, present paper aims to take a look at the relationship of the Austrian satirist and editor of the magazine Die Fackel (1899–1936) to Sigmund Freud and his psychoanalysis. The objective of this paper is to outline the initial rapprochement between Kraus and Freud, which is followed by Kraus’ vehement criticism of psychoanalysis based on the psychoanalysts’ artistic analyses.
