Summary/Abstract: Herta Müller, who was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 2009, has established herself as a writer particularly through her prose. Her collages, however, are also a significant part of her work. Representative for them is their surrealistic character. Herta Müller’s work is marked by politics, which also plays a role in her collages. Political figures appear here. The aim of this paper is to compare Herta Müller’s collages with the paintings of the surrealist painter Salvador Dalí from the perspective of the political figures involved.
