Summary/Abstract: This paper explores implications of organisational change on employee mental health, with specific reference to the Associated Fund Administrators (AFA). In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, businesses worldwide faced unprecedented shifts, adapting to technological demands, and restructuring to survive. However, while these changes aimed to boost efficiency, they significantly impacted employees' mental well-being. The paper focuses on the relationship between organisational changes and mental health, emphasizing the stressors and challenges arising from such changes. It examines AFA's response to mitigate the impact on employee mental wellness and proposes effective strategies for supporting employees during organisational change. Through extensive literature review, the paper highlights that organisational changes often trigger stress, uncertainty, and increased work demands, leading to burnout and deteriorating mental health among employees. Employees perceive the changes negatively due to the pervasive uncertainty, contributing to reduced productivity, increased sick leave abuse, conflicts, and a toxic work environment. Moreover, AFA's restructuring led to concerning trends such as heightened stress levels, increased sick leave utilization, declining productivity, and a shift in work relationships. The organization attempted to address mental health issues by offering counselling services, but cultural barriers hindered their success.
