Summary/Abstract: Although modern aviation relies on advanced navigation systems such as FMS, GNSS, and PBN, experience has shown that no technology can fully eliminate the role of humans in the cockpit. Past accidents and incidents clearly remind us that the human factor remains a decisive link in the safety chain. This paper examines how Human Resource Management (HRM) can contribute to the safer use of sophisticated navigation equipment and the reduction of error-related risks. The theoretical framework draws on the concepts of the human factor, Crew Resource Management (CRM), and High Reliability Organizations (HRO). The methodological approach includes a literature review and the analysis of wellknown case studies (Air France 447, Singapore Airlines 006, Tenerife 1977, and Boeing 737 MAX). The findings indicate that HRM strategies—ranging from careful selection and systematic training to continuous professional development— play a crucial role in bridging people and technology, creating a more resilient and safer aviation system in the era of high automation.
