Summary/Abstract: After 1922, the Irish nationalists wanted to build a society whose structures were opposed to those of the occupier, causing a double alienation. Cyclicity and repetition of some phrases - almost verbatim – can be regarded as a veil hiding meanings. Readers are invited to disclose those traumatic events these characters went through. The best way to delve into essential issues shadowed by the “invisibility” carried out by the colonial system is to consider the texts as parables.
