Summary/Abstract: In the film adaptation The Outrun (2024), Nora Fingscheidt explores female alcohol addiction through the perspective of the young Rona and her return to the Orkney Islands. The North Sea becomes a space for bodily and psychological reclaiming, transforming alienation into a process of healing and identity reconstruction.
