Summary/Abstract: The article deals with the relationship between body composition components and arch morphology in early school-age children, with an emphasis on identifying the anthropometric and physiological factors that contribute to the occurrence of a low, normal or high arch during a period of intensive growth and development. The aim of the study was to determine whether variations in body mass index, percentage of fat and muscle tissue and related morphological parameters are significantly associated with structural differences in the arch formation. The study was conducted on a representative sample of students, using standardized anthropometric measurements, valid methods for assessing body composition and precise postural procedures for determining arch morphology. The results clearly showed that body composition components are strong predictors of arch status. Children with a low arch had a significantly higher body mass index, a higher percentage of adipose tissue and pronounced central adiposity, which indicates that the mechanical load and metabolic effects of overweight increase the risk of medial longitudinal arch prolapse. Children with a high arch, on the other hand, showed lower adiposity and a higher percentage of muscle tissue, which emphasizes the stabilizing role of the musculature in postural development. These relationships remained significant even after controlling for age and gender. The findings indicate the need for regular monitoring of body composition and postural morphology in school health examinations, with the aim of early detection of at-risk children and timely application of appropriate preventive and corrective interventions. Additional research is needed to determine the long-term functional consequences of the impaired arch profile and the development of targeted preventive strategies
