Summary/Abstract: The topic of the scientific development is: ''Interpretation and classification of the Psalms from the first to the tenth Psalms according to their thematic content”. The choice of the topic is not accidental. Great interest in the Psalter can be found even in patristic literature. Origen, Eusebius of Caesarea, Didymus of Alexandria, St. Athanasius the Great, St. Basil the Great, St. John Chrysostom and many others dealt with its interpretation. But they all use this book chiefly in their homiletical discourses. There is a lack of a complete conceptual-thematic classification of the psalms. It is this lack and the great interest in the Book of Psalter, which dates back to the past, is characteristic of the present, and will be characteristic of the future, that is the basis of the choice of this topic. The interest in the Book of Psalms is great, because from the psalms, like from a spring of life-giving water, many feelings flow, which soothe minds thirsty for life’s knowledge and bring harmony to the human soul torn by contradictions. The object of the study is the Old Testament book Psalter, which contains 150 psalms. The subject of the study is ideological - the thematic content of the Psalms from the first to the tenth Psalm. The purpose of the study is to classify the Psalms from the first to the tenth Psalm based on their conceptual - thematic content.Tasks of the scientific research are related to the study of the scientific literature on the subject and to the preparation of an ideological-thematic classification of the considered psalms. The used methods of scientific research are analytical, comparative, historical - critical.
