About our faith and technology

Summary/Abstract: The article considers two issues that do not seem interconnected in any way – the Christian faith and the emerging technologies of today. And yet it was found that technologies can – to some or greater extent – influence faith, either in a positive or negative way. Unlike the technologies of the 20-th century, and even the technologies of the first decade of the 21-st century, the new advancements, often called emerging or exponential technologies, pose entirely new challenges to Christian faith and to humanity in general. One of the tasks in such circumstances is for believers to remain firm in their faith and practices and to try to be vigilant about every new advancement that could challenge Christian life or humans as a whole.
