Summary/Abstract: This article is an attempt to answer the question of how the new technologies of communication were used during the election to the local Soviets which took place on January 14, 2007. The way it is possible to ompare a solid local newspaper and a web-site with its blogs and virtual communities. What is common and what is different between the readers of the printed newspaper and the participants of various social etworks. Артыкул з’яўляецца спробай адказаць на пытанне: якім чынам новыя тэхналогіі камунікацыі былі выкарыстаны падчас выбараў у мясцовыя саветы 14 студзеня 2007; як можна параўноўваць раённае выданне і вэб-сэрвіс для стварэння блогаў і віртуальных суполак; што аб’ядноўвае і што адрознівае чытачоў друкаванага выдання і ўдзельнікаў разнастайных сацыяльных сеціваў?
