Summary/Abstract: Intimacy is by definition that which is most secretive in me and that I do not show. Nevertheless, we notice a progressive trend in the literature on intimacy which seems to aim at expressing the ineffable at a time when contemporary styles of living lead to a restrained zone of things offered to be viewed. But isn’t it that exhibiting intimacy in an autobiography torn between the holding back of the secret garden and publication of a testimony means in fact altering it?
