Summary/Abstract: This article presents the key concepts of national security, traditional and non-traditional risks and penitentiary-pedagogical activity as well as their interrelations. It examines the impact of penitentiary-pedagogical work on non-traditional risks to national security by exploring the corrective and educational potential of specialized programs as means of rehabilitation and reeducation of convicted people, measured through the Buss-Durkee Aggression Test, administrated to two groups of offenders.
