Summary/Abstract: This paper explores the impact of modern educational games on learning processes and the formation of lasting knowledge among primary school students. Play is an activity in which children demonstrate their ability to explore, imagine, and make decisions. Through play, children develop physical, cognitive, social, and emotional skills. Play also improves and strengthens concentration, focus, perseverance, and learning of social interactions and norms. Modern educational games represent an innovative and dynamic approach to the teaching-learning process, with the potential to significantly improve learning and contribute to deeper and more lasting knowledge acquisition among students. The aim of this paper is to determine the impact of educational games on active participation and how modern educational games contribute to cognitive activation, long-term motivation and transferability of acquired knowledge. The research used quantitative and qualitative methods, including surveys, observation and analysis of results from teaching activities. The findings indicate that the integration of educational games into teaching increases motivation, encourages collaborative work and critical thinking, and at the same time enables better retention of knowledge. Additionally, games contribute to the development of cognitive and social skills, as well as adaptive learning according to the individual needs of students. In conclusion, modern educational games represent an effective pedagogical tool that enriches teaching and positively affects long-term knowledge, which indicates the need for their wider application in the educational process.
