Summary/Abstract: Given the growing need for digital transformation in schools, exploring the opportunities and challenges related to the integration of artificial intelligence in primary education represents a significant scientific and practical interest. The aim of this paper is to analyze the impact of artificial intelligence on the quality of teaching, the development of students’ digital competencies, and the improvement of the teaching process through practical examples and classroom activities. The research analyzes current digital tools used for lesson preparation, text checking and correction, adaptive quizzes, and support systems for students with learning difficulties. Studies indicate that the use of artificial intelligence increases motivation, enables individualized support, encourages critical thinking, and contributes to inclusive education. At the same time, challenges arise related to ethical application, digital literacy, access to technology, and teachers’ technical preparedness. The research methodology includes both quantitative and qualitative methods - surveys and interviews with students and teachers in a primary school - to collect data on their attitudes, experiences, and level of readiness for the application of artificial intelligence in the teaching process. Additionally, classroom observations of activities integrating digital tools were conducted to analyze their effectiveness, their impact on students’ motivation and learning, as well as the teacher’s role in using technology. The results show that the use of artificial intelligence represents an important step toward the transformation of teaching, but it requires ethical application, well-developed digital literacy, and continuous professional support and training for teachers. The conclusion highlights that artificial intelligence can significantly enhance students’ motivation, creativity, and learning effectiveness, as well as improve the overall quality of teaching in primary education. However, it does not replace the teacher’s role, rather, it complements it by enabling a modern, interactive, and supportive learning environment.
