Summary/Abstract: One of the factors for the competitive advantage of wine tourism is the rational management of energy resources, social responsibility, and strong support for local communities. A successful competitive approach is directly linked to the profile of the tourist. The digital transformation in the tourism sector also shapes this profile — an active participant in social networks, informed, creative, and innovative, yet with limited free time and opportunities for long travel experiences. Globally, there has been a decline in visits to tasting rooms, while smaller wineries have shown growth for three consecutive years. Promoting mobile wine tourism, organizing tasting events outside the wine-growing regions, and fostering a culture of wine clubs and subscriptions are effective tools for achieving a balance between digitalized tourism services and the modern tourist’s desire for closeness to the natural environment which is compatible with the principles of the green economy
