Summary/Abstract: The Foreign Language Teaching is linked to the intention of using this language in contact situations, especially in the target country. The textbooks logically show the context in which the foreign language is used – typical life, routines and traditions, peculiarities from a regional perspective, possible intercultural differences. This goes hand in hand with the acquisition of grammatical rules and vocabulary. In the area of Foreign Language Teaching during university studies, certain deviations from this pattern can be observed. This article deals with such border areas in which the foreign language is taught with reference to the local environment
