The meeting between Kant and Marx on the plane of eschatology

Summary/Abstract: In many ways (seemingly) on opposite sides, Kant and Marx also show some similarities in their thoughts, thus creating an important conceptual-theoretical connection that is important both for further reflection on the theory of both authors, as well as for understanding Marx’s theoretical development and which deserves special research attention. In this paper, we are about to give a framework and added illumination to this conceptual-theoretical relationship which, according to the basic thesis of the paper, is most significantly reflected in the design of anthropology and the philosophy of history, in its eschatological manner, both of these authors. So Kant’s undertaking of translating Christian eschatology on a philosophical basis, thus differentiating a few necessary, but intrinsically insufficient, phases of the eschatological flow, will represent that conceptual shift which will allow Marks to continue to move within the framework of the eschatological understanding of history, but which, by contrast to Kant, will solve this problem with an entirely different kind of anthropology.
