Summary/Abstract: Smell perception, olfactory identification, and olfactory dysfunction in individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) are still under-researched areas. Smell plays a significant role in emotions, social relationships, and cognitive function, making it worthwhile to explore this topic from the perspective of individuals with neurodiversity. Reviewing the literature on olfactory function in individuals with ASD can lay the foundation for developing a therapeutic space in which olfactory abilities play a key role.
