Summary/Abstract: The article discusses the theoretical foundations of the concept of “Montessori for seniors” (also known as sensory activation), which is an example of a holistic support program for the elderly and people suffering from dementia, which was described by Austrian researchers Lore Wehner and Ylva Schwinghammer. In addition, the paper indicates practical ways of applying elements of this concept in the diagnosis and speech therapy of seniors with neurocognitive disorders.
