Summary/Abstract: Cybercrime is a modern social phenomenon that has surged and dominated the realm of crime due to technological advancements. It is a new mechanism adopted by criminal groups on both global and local levels, amidst the rapid growth of information and communication technologies. Despite the benefits brought about by modern technology, it poses numerous risks and has quickly become a threat to the security and integrity of societies. Although there is a significant gap between developed and developing societies in terms of technology quality, this has not prevented individuals from hastily acquiring it and utilizing its services, while criminals exploit it to commit various types of crimes. Algeria, like other countries, is witnessing an increase in cybercrime rates, and concerns have grown regarding the nature of these crimes, as it is difficult to track and punish the offenders. Through this research paper, we will focus on cybercrime in Algerian society, addressing the most significant types of these crimes, how they are committed, and the various mechanisms to confront them.
