Summary/Abstract: The global digital shift has accelerated over the last few decades, driven by advances in information technology and the increasing interconnectedness of the population. Although the benefits of digitization, such as improved efficiency, accessibility, and innovation, are widely recognized, its side effects are often overlooked. This article aims to analyze the multifaceted consequences of digitalization, focusing on psychological effects, social changes, and ethical dilemmas. However, the increasing presence of digital realities in young people’s daily lives has also raised concerns about the potential negative side effects on their mental and physical well-being. This paper explores the challenges faced by young people in a digital age, including the impact of social media on self-esteem and body image, the risks of cyberbullying and online harassment, and the potential consequences of excessive screen time on sleep quality and cognitive development.
