Summary/Abstract: The aim of this paper is to offer a semantic commentary on the use of semi- as an adjective modifier and to analyse its interchangeability with medio and casi. It presents a classification of adjectives with this prefix and explains the reasons that allow or prevent the alternation of semi- with other approximate prefixes that affect adjectives to reflect their partial or fragmentary nature.
