Summary/Abstract: The main objective of this review is to provide critical commentary on the book La negación en contraste by Raquel González Rodríguez and Cristina Sánchez López. The book presents and thoroughly describes the topic of negation, addressing the main aspects that characterize it. Starting from the perspective of Spanish, it adopts a contrastive approach to identify similarities and differences across languages. The authors analyse how negation is expressed, exploring both grammatical structures and the pragmatic contexts in which they occur, and highlighting the specific features of negation in various languages. This paper focuses in particular on the strengths of the book, while also pointing out passages that may be open to further discussion, especially concerning the final approach.
