Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the article is to clarify the peculiarities of the employment process, entrepreneurship activity and cultural life of Ukrainian displaced persons in Romania, which are an essential part of their adaptation process abroad. To achieve this purpose, the author used the methods of analysis and synthesis, induction and deduction, as well as comparison, generalization, and the dialectical method. In order to complete the proposed scope, the author conducted an anonymous opinion survey among Ukrainians settled in Romania to collect specific data for research conclusions. Special attention was focused on the work of non-governmental organizations and humanitarian aid centers that support Ukrainians in Romania such as “Jobs for Ukraine”, “HIAS Romania”, “AIDrom”, “Salvati Copiii”, “JRS Romania” and others. Separated chapters of the article are devoted to the concept of ‘displaced person’ and general principles of the stay of Ukrainians in Romania.
