Summary/Abstract: It is to be gainsaid that the rewritten history of the colonized by the colonizers for their political self motives during the colonial era is supported by the proselytes in the postcolonial Nations, especially India. This is evident from their ignorance attitude towards the rewriting of the Indian history, a project presently taken up by the ICHR (Indian Council of Historical Research). While attempting to reclaim the lost history of postcolonial India due to its staunch belief in the faith that revealed the Supreme Truth, the secret behind all existences, followed by its scriptures that are penned by the revealers of the Truth, such as the Mahavakhyas of the Upanishads that depicted the Supreme Truthas ‘Ekam Eva Satyam, Vipraha Bahuda Vadanthi’ which Truth is One, while the wise call it by manynames, there seemed no difficulty in assimilating the Abrahamic religions that arose due to proselytization in the nation by the colonizers. Since the postcolonial era till date, the rewritten history by the colonizers has taken the center stage, sidelining the faith that talks about the Supreme Truth. This is due to the inability of the proselytes to understand the facts, their reluctance to accept the facts, and their lack of readiness to change. Due to their lack of readiness, they have been questioning the humanities and social science associations as to why they need to rewrite the existing history. This paper primarily discusses in detail the necessity to rewrite the rewritten history. Secondarily, it states the repercussions for the nation in case the existing rewritten history does not get rectified. Finally, drawing a comparison of the present and the past, it envisions the future of the Nation in all its aspects, especially in the education sector, focusing on the future of Humanities and Social sciences Disciplines. The Indic knowledge tradition ethos believes in living in the present, for neither there exists any past nor future.
