Summary/Abstract: The article is devoted to the study of the ’world of childhood’ as a normative idealtypical construct of H. Skovoroda’s philosophical anthropology, the identification of structural elements and semantic functionality in contemporary educational practices. The phenomenon of childhood is defined in the context of self-knowledge of the ’inner person’. It is proven that in H. Skovoroda’s moral-Christian system, the image of a child is one of the key symbols of a holistic and spiritually true human nature.
