Summary/Abstract: The article offers a philosophical analysis of culture under the conditions of new media and artificial intelligence. The author draws on Blaise Pascal’s distinction between mathematical reason and intuitive, penetrating reason, arguing that human creative reason integrates both dimensions, whereas artificial intelligence is limited exclusively to mathematical rationality. Within the context of a globalized culture, intuitive reason remains the privilege of a small number of creators, giving way to the dominance of procedural thinking. The article develops the following key theses: mass media, together with their users, form a self-reproducing system that is resistant to intuitive and creative thinking capable of disrupting its stability; artificial intelligence generates the illusion of the removal of personal responsibility for decisions, as morality grounded in reasoned judgment isreplaced by calculable knowledge; artificial intelligence emerges as an effective instrument of social engineering that threatens the very existence of democratic politics, which is sustained by pluralism of opinions and political struggle rather than by the consensus characteristic of totalitarian models. The methodological framework of the study includes philosophical analysis, etymological inquiry, and case analysis.
