DIGITAL SKILLS IN THE PARADIGM OF COMPETENCEORIENTED TRAINING OF MODERN SPECIALISTS (SOCIAL AND PHILOSOPHICAL ANALYSIS)

Summary/Abstract: The article reveals the essence and specificity of the competency-based approach to future specialists՚ training and analyzes the essence of digital skills as key competencies of a competitive specialist. It argues that digital skills (digital working skills) are competencies which are necessary for an expert in any field, as well as in everyday life, for the optimal use of digital technologies and media platforms to achieve optimal productivity and effective communication in the digitalized working environment. Classifications of digital skills (digital working skills) are presented and the argument concerning focusing on individuals՚ digital competencies in the process of their professional training as a response to the challenges of the digital society is developed.
