Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the article is to analyze implementing the policy of deterrence in the post-bipolar world. The thesis about a new proliferation of nuclear weapons is supported. The lesson of this was Russia’s aggression against Ukraine. The result was the realization that only means of the balance of power is the nuclear weapons.
