Summary/Abstract: The article investigates toxic productivity as a media-constructed phenomenon that extends beyond individual behavior. It reveals the role of mass media in shaping a culture of hyperactivity and the devaluation of rest. The consequences for vulnerable social groups are analyzed. It is shown that social networks romanticize overwork, stimulate constant self-comparison with others, and reinforce notions of success, which lead to emotional exhaustion and alienation.
