Summary/Abstract: This study examines the philosophical-legal foundations of smart contracts through the lens of transforming concepts of autonomy and determinism. The semantic gap between the natural language of law and the formal language of programming is investigated. The ontological status of smart contracts as hybrid sociotechnical phenomena is analyzed. A conceptual vision of «executable law» is proposed for understanding new forms of algorithmic normativity in the digital era.
