Summary/Abstract: In this paper, professor of English literature Alan Kirby says that post-modernism belongs to and is a matter of the past. Kirby makes a compelling case that post-modernism is dead by drawing his arguments from contemporary situation in culture and its products. He attempts to provide the evidence that under the pressure of new technologies and contemporary social forces, in the dusk of the 20th century and daybreak of a new millennium, post-modernism backed away from its place of the leading worldview, mindset and cultural form, thus giving an opportunity to a new paradigm and a balance of power to take its place within the way of creating and receiving cultural products.
