The Financing of Political Parties

Summary/Abstract: Money is the basis of the existence of many social organizations, including political parties. Financing of political parties and election activities is one of the most important questions of stabilization of democratic processes in transitional countries, but also of those with a developed democracy. The practices have shown that the field of financing of political parties is one of the leading issues in the B-H political life. Therefore at some of the most important issues regarding the funding of political parties, legislative shortcomings, the necessity of stricter sanctions for contempt of the rules of funding and greater accountability of political parties for more rational spending of funds will pointed out in the paper.
