Summary/Abstract: A human life represents the highest value. This statement not only has a significant meaning but also a direct legal one. Every person has the right to life, and their rights and freedoms are the highest values in a state. At the current stage of societal and state development, combating crime in all its forms has been and remains a priority task. One of the factors contributing to the alarming increase in crime rates is the constant tendency to commit crimes involving firearms, especially acts of murder. The specificity of investigating murders committed with firearms lies in the need to combine and apply in a coordinated manner the general methods of investigating intentional crimes and those committed with such weapons. Furthermore, as judicial practice and research by specialists in this field demonstrate, a large part of crimes committed on commission are also carried out using firearms. To some extent, all the criminalistic methods for investigating the mentioned crimes "overlap" because each of them presumes the possibility of committing such crimes with the use of firearms. Thus, the relevance of choosing this topic for research is determined by the exceptional value of human life and the need for constant improvement of the methodology for investigating murders committed with firearms.
